Hello, I'm Mike Bean, and I believe being a State Farm agent is about much more than selling insurance policies. It's about building relationships, protecting families, and making a positive difference in the community we call home.

First and foremost, I'm a husband and father. My wife, Rachel, and I are blessed with three wonderful boys—our twins, Sean and Russell, and our youngest son, Jackson. Like many of the families we serve, we understand the importance of protecting the people we love, planning for the future, and having someone we can count on when life doesn't go as expected.

I grew up right here in the Flower Mound and Lewisville area and graduated from Lewisville High School in 1999 before joining the United States Air Force. As a sixth-generation veteran and second-generation Texan, I was raised with a deep appreciation for service, integrity, hard work, and looking out for others. The values of my faith continue to guide the way I live, raise my family, serve my community, and operate my business.

A Lifetime of Service, Not Just a Career

Helping others has always been a passion of mine, long before I became an insurance agent.

Throughout my life, I've been fortunate to participate in charitable initiatives supporting military veterans, children, and families facing difficult circumstances. Those efforts have led to humbling recognitions, including the United Way Ambassador of the Year Award, the Soldier's Child Foundation Leadership Award, and the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Appreciation Award.

While I'm grateful for those honors, the greatest reward has always been knowing that something I've done has made a difference in someone else's life.

That same desire to help people is what led me to become a State Farm agent.

Insurance is something most people hope they never have to use. But when the unexpected happens—whether it's an accident, a devastating storm, a house fire, or the loss of a loved one—having the right protection can make an enormous difference in a family's future.

I wanted a career where I could combine my passion for helping people with the opportunity to help families prepare for life's uncertainties. Being a State Farm agent allows me to do exactly that, right here in the community that helped shape who I am.

Giving Back to the Community That Gave Me So Much

Flower Mound and Lewisville aren't simply where I do business. This is my hometown. It's where I grew up, where my wife and I are raising our children, and where I've chosen to dedicate my time, energy, and resources.

I believe that if a community supports your business, you have a responsibility to support that community in return.

Beyond the agency, I'm honored to serve as a Town Commissioner for the Town of Flower Mound and participate on a Lewisville Independent School District superintendent-level parent committee. I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Flower Mound Youth Football Academy as its Community Liaison and Director of Safety.

Our agency is especially passionate about supporting local schools, student-athletes, first responders, and organizations that make our community stronger.

We're proud to be a leading sponsor of Marcus High School Football and a supporter of Marcus Cheer, Girls Soccer, and other athletic programs. We also support Lewisville ISD initiatives, including Destination Graduation and district recognition events.

Our commitment extends beyond the schools. We've partnered with the Flower Mound Police Department on community safety and outreach initiatives, including child car seat inspections, child identification services, and Bike with the Blue. We're also proud supporters of community traditions such as the Flower Mound Independence Fest, Christmas Parade, and Tree Lighting, along with charitable efforts like Book Drive for Kids.

These aren't simply sponsorships or opportunities to put our name on a banner. They're opportunities to give back to the people, families, children, and organizations that make this community special.

I'm proud that our agency has received multiple recognitions throughout Denton County and has been honored as the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month. Those acknowledgments mean a great deal because they reflect our connection to the community we're privileged to serve.

We help individuals and families with auto, home, renters, life, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, health, and small business insurance.

And on a personal note, I've been riding motorcycles since I was 15 years old. As a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, I particularly enjoy helping fellow riders understand their insurance options and protect the bikes they're passionate about.
